what is the treatment for alpha blocker Overdose ? (As for betablockers its glucagon ).

hey asmi can u tell me from where did u read that in the overdose of betablocker we give glucagone. pls reply me. :roll:

Depends...no antidote for phenoxybenzamine, i would think, since it is non-competitive. For Phentolamine, etc, I would imagine that it would be low-dose NE?

Hi ,santa i dd read that in FA and its true that u treat beat blocker OD with glucagon. I don't know how they treat alpha blocker OD ,,thats why i posted it. Thanks idiopath.

I agree with Idiopathic-according to Lippincott the rank order of potency for alpha receptors is [Epi greater then or equal to to Norepi and Norepi is much greater then Isoproterenol] ---------------------------------------------------- Yohimbine-alpha2 block Clonidine-alpha2 agonist(dual action)
