hi everyone,i have only ten days for my exam.what to ask in mmse?plz. help.

The complete MMSE is a 30-point test and cant be done in the limited time that you have on exam. If you think MMSE is necessary, do mention it in the work up.
But, for the exam, depending on how much time you have, you can check for orientation (in time, space and person), registration ( show and identify three objects and ask the patient to repeat those), short -term memory (ask abt the same objects after some time), long term memory ( if patient can give ya a good history), judgement ( ask "if you see a self addressed envelope, what would you do"), calculation ( subtract 3 from 20.. X5), 3 step command (take this paper, fold it in half and keep it on the table) etc.. I'm sure you can find the complete exam somewhere in a text book or on the net..
If you're short of time, do check for orientation X 3 atleast
When to do MMSE : confusion, memory loss, altered mental status, Depression( if time allows)
