Hi everyone !
I thought this time around I'm going start a journal and keep a good tab on my progress.....My step 1 prep was a bit more hectic but I'm hoping to stay motivated and really keep my focus on Step 2.....I got an 86 in step 1 and I would really love to improve my score by 10 points 
I've decided to start with Surgery. I've read the first part of the kaplan surgery notes....but instead of reading the "vignette" second part, I'm doing kaplan qbank instead. My plan is to finish all the qbank surgery qs in the next few days......then move on to Obgyn.
My overall plan is to complete both kaplan qbank and UW.....and read the notes...Do the notes and do the qbank by subject.....and then spend the last month doing UW mixed.........

Hey Angel......yeah i decided to make a change for the step 2. For step 1, i just did UW.....this time around, doing both banks may provide that extra edge to get into the 90s......I think doing qbank along with my reading (as you suggested) is really going to knock in the material......then really polish everything off with a solid undertaking of UW
I decided to do the "lower yield" subjects first....and then really get down with Internal Med....

Well,....finally got through my first round of surgery...did the qbank qs and read the first part of the Surgery notes...... The first topic I start with always takes longer,...hopefully I'll be able to build momentum now and pick up the pace..
Now I plan to do Psychiatry.....I'm starting a Psychiatry externship on Monday so I figure doing Psych for the next 3 days will be a good idea. I'm actually thinking of just reading FA and doing Qbank qs for psych, as I feel a bit more comfortable in this area.....however the kaplan notes are only a hundred pages so i may get through them later....or I'll do selected topics from the notes,...and browse the notes as I review the Qbank qs........So my plan for today is to read FA, and do I block of Qs......and hopefully finish all the Qbank psych questions by Wednesday
After that I plan on hitting up ObGyn......

Its been awhile since I've made in entry in my journal.......and I've made some adjustments to my prep
I've decided to not read the kaplan notes......rather, I'm reading the FA and doing the Kaplan Qbank subject by subject ( I read the corresponding material in FA...and then do Qbank questions)....
After I finish this,....my plan is to hit UW hard....do it totally mixed & timed
So far I've done surgery, psych, and Ob/gyn......about to embark on Peds. Hopefully I'll get through Peds in the next week and then go for the cream......Internal Medicine..and for IM I plan on reading the Kaplan notes...
Got my CS results and passed!....kind of fell off track that day but now have gotten my eye on the ball again......CK is my last exam......so close ...yet so far away...lol
