Be careful with St Barnabas NJ. "Country Club" in a beautiful area, but the long-time program director is a pompous Rheumatologist who mostly wants you to learn the minutae of his specialty. They have DEFINATE double standards US vs IMG. Of course by now probably not many if any DOs even. They only make you chief if they have to, do not recommend you for competitive fellowships even if you are good, and have "sacrificial lambs" every year that they make board ineligible.

You are realy upset with St Barnabas it seems. Let me say one thing; Do not compare yourself to a US graduate.. we are and will never be the same. Thats is the reality. Yes, we are hard working and have given time and effort to securing a residency in any program. Still when it will come to their own; the PD will prefer their own grads or citizens over FMGs. The PDs of small programs are not even well-reknowned to call other places for your fellowships also. They can give you a LOR... Dont take it personally.. I know it hurts sometimes.. but thats the reality of life.. Until you secure the citizenship.. you will face it. Certain programs dont even call you for IVs if you are FMG or do not have GC.. thats the way it is.. Not bein biased agianst you.. they just prefer their own home-grown docs; whats wrong with that. As for you abarusmle.... you have good credentials.. apply on spetember 1st and practice IV skills... if you know anyone in Medicine.. this is the time to use that contact.
