Q 1. if pt. comes to u with sever abdominal pain vomiting and fever LabTESTS,AND MOST POSSIBLE DIAGNOSE? Q 2. A pt. with fever ,right side chest pain and vomiting LAB TEST and most possible DIAGNOSE? plz let me know the ans thanx

for the 1st one: serum (electolytes, amylase, lipasae, bili), XR abdomen, standing, USG abdomen, Blood (cbc) 2nd one: EKG, serum (LFTs, same as above), XR chest/upper abdo, USG abdo for gall stones, Blood (cbc), any comments?

Question #1 Lab test: Complete Blood count Serum Lipase, Amylase, Electrolytes Abdominal Xray, ultrasound of the abdomen Diagnosis: Age of the patient should be considered too... For pediatrics, we have to rule out Urinary Tract Infection - so urinalysis should be done, Acute Appendicitis should also be considered so CBC must be done... for female of reproductive age... Torsion of ovarian cyst; For elderly... Diverticulitis... Question #2 Lab tests: EKG, Serum Troponin, CK-MB CBC, Liver Function Test USG of Hepato-biliary tree Diagnosis: T/C Angina Pectoris; R/O Gall Bladder dse. >>>> M.I. patients can present with fever too....
