Has anyone here changed their test country? If so, how did you do it? I'd like to change my testing country, but when I try to book an appointment, it says something like 'Identification number not recognized' Do I need to contact ECFMG first before I reschedule my test in another country?

If somebody has any info on this, please help me out.

Thanks so much.

@ paheli... I had rescheduled my testing region from India to US in Aug 2007 for step1 as I had the visa and had to come to my school in AUG...the good thing is they changed my region without taking any extra fees.. also changed the block at my request from july-aug-sep to aug-sep-oct... and also credited my account by 130$ which they took as a testing surcharge for INDIA.. so i guess it really worked out for me...

wht i did was... give them a call... and faxed my docs-
1) cover letter stating the reason with my signature
2) old permit
3) passport with US visa stamp
4) letter from college stating the date of starting.

lemme knw in case u wanna know anything else..

all the best..
