yeah...I started preparing about a month or two ago and now I have totally lost motivation too.....It is like that. I am going to pump in some dvds to get me going again. I just arrived in New York....Its so cold here....BRRRR!!!!!!! I wish this was like one of our midterms.....The amount of material on this test is so much that it feels like it is going on forever!!!! I finished Biochem a couple of weeks ago and I cant recall anything.....I guess extending the time isnt going to help. I will just try to finish evrything in one more month....oh well....I dont know. I am freezing. Just keep going. Someday we will be done with this.

i think doing some questions might help create some interest ....try doing some qs, from q book /q bank whatever available..... and one more imp thing....dont let the subject u finished, "evaporate"...i.e if u finished anatomy and biochem and started with pharmacology.. keep doing some qs of anatomy and biochem (10 each) daily and refer kaplan notes to look up the answers... this would keep things fresh..and revision would be easy and quick.and this helps a lot in the end...otherwise by the time we get to the last subject the first one is erased completely! and we feel miserable! All the best !!

lol.......crammin is always boring......when I started prep for it....i thot that i'll make concepts and this and that..............but after my first read in which i tried to make concepts, and forget the rest, lol......i could remember only 5% of the stuff ..now i have realised that most of the data requires cramming, like pharma, molbio, genetics, biochem, biostats formula, anatomy, histology.....most of patho too, lol One of my friends told me that during his step1 exam,,,,after a beautiful detailed juicy clinical vignette , do u know what the last line read, what is the receptor of substance P: and with all the pneumonics he had in his head....he found all the options as very close to his'.....lol! lets start doing the same boring thing ....Rattafication what we guys in Pakistan, summon to cramming!!! Happy Cramming!

Are there any possible alternatives to cramming? Because I just hate it. You know, I never thought medicine would be like this. My older brother is doing his masters in engineering now. He never ever sat and memorized anything from his books! They concentrate on the intellectual process and thinking patterns more than rote memorization.
