EXPLANATION

This is Bowen s disease, which is one clinical form of Penile Carcinoma in situ (the other forms Bowenoid papulosis and Erythroplasia of Queyrat). Untreated Bowen s disease will, over a period of years, progress to frank invasive carcinoma in 10% to 20% of patients. Bowen s disease can affect the genital region of both men and women.
