-It arises frm remnants of primitive streak which normally degenerates n disappears.
-contains various ts(bone, nerve, hair) bcoz it is derived frm pluripotent cells of primitive streak.
-more common in females.
-malignant transformation can occur
-must be removed by 6 mths of age.
