Kaplan Qbank USMLE

Hi everyone! I am getting ready to start my step 1 prep.....feel free to comment or offer any ideas to this 3 month studying plan....i just got done with 2nd year of med school.......going to start prep for step 1 on jun 1st......i was gonna follow 6 week kaplan course's schedule.....so i was gonna read the books i have per class (mostly only kaplan except for like behv science, anat, neuroanat, histo, mol bio for which ill b using high yield and also mmrs for micro)....and for patho...goljan....so ill do about 11hrs of readin a day...and than do 50ques a day from usmle world...and than go over that for 2hrs and take notes in first aid......and keep doin that for 6 weeks per kaplan's schedule....and than take nbme and see where im at......and than from mid july to mid aug.....review everything again.....but this time do qbank questions every night from 50-100 or more as long as i finish all of qbank by mid aug....and than take nbme again to see how much i improved...and see where i stand....if im in good position than....cram first aid for 2 weeks and take it in end of aug....does it sound legit? please comment thanks

Good luck.

Although you've mentioned them above don't underestimate the smaller topics such as histo (where concepts can be made) and ethics either. Bought conrad fischers book on this, well worth it for tackling those tricky questions.

Your plan looks to have covered all the bases though. wink

Do you attend a school in the US?

The materials you plan on using are excellent. I'm not quite sure about the 11+ hours of reading daily. I cannot do that my self sad ... but you seem realy motivated. nod

hey thanks for the replies....im actually a us citizen who just got back from attending 4yrs in a 6 yr med school program in poland.....now starting the prep....until jun 1st....i am re-reading pathophysiology of disease by lange and physio brs.....hopefully that will make me strong that in those 2 classes.....and as for the hours....once i get into the habit....its not too hard for me to pull it off....and i want 99 really bad....so gonna give it all i got and leave it to god.....good luck studyin to you all!!
