Hi all,
I am from Ireland and i just finished my final examination 3 weeks ago and took a holiday until last tuesday.
Our finals here include medicine and surgery and psychiatry and i have done paediatrics and obstetrics back in last november.
I started studying for step 2ck a few days ago and i has been going very slow.

My exam is scheduled for the 18th of June and i have just started the kaplan books and did no yet start the usmle world.

I am free to study until the 18th of June.

My question is is it possible for me to go ahead and do the exam in a month time or is the time not enough.

thank you all.

depends on how fast you are at studying. most people advice 3 months as the minimum time requeired for preparation. I studied for less than half that time and got a 99.

so if u are asking if it is doable...yes it is. if u want to know if it is the ideal way to go about. no.

I`d suggest starting hard preparation..Then take NBME self assessment form(Go for form 2);If U find ur self not ready U have to reschedule then
Anyway as Motorolla told U;It depends.
good luck

I am gonna start very hard and i was wondering whther i should just do usmle world questions like 150 a day and learn the explanations and use first aid for paeds and obs and gynae and secrets.

Would appreciate your feedback

Though a succes like motorola is not a remote possibility.
But my two cents are , you only get one chance to take this exam , coz I am very sure you will pass the exam , but I dont think we are having the target of passing(75) in mind?

whatever you decide, all my wishes are with you
