I called ECFMG, they say that result is delayed as they have still not received the students verification letter sent to them from my univeristy. My university says they have sent it months ago!!
which is the fastest way to get my results now???

hi
call ecfmg once again to check if they haven't received anything at all, inform them that your med school sent it long back.. or is it like it is in a different format than they required ( my colleagues had to do this twice, since my med school did not give the reqd. format)
ask ecfmg if they can send it to ur school again, and get your school verify it .
also, it might be a bit more costly .. but u can ask ecfmg if they could send it through your fedex account.
that means you create an account with fedex , deposit required money in that account and you can let ecfmg use that account number to mail your request to ur medical school. you can also request your med school to do the same..
if your med school is in India, for a mail upto 500 gms, fedex takes 2500 rs. one way..
that way it would cost you about rs.5000
PS TO EVERYONE : I AM NOT ADVERTISING FEDEX HERE.. IT IS WHAT MY COLLEAGUES DID WHEN THEIR CERTIFICATES DID NOT REACH IN TIME.
fIRST call up ecfmg , inform them that ur med school says they've sent it, and see what they need/ you need to do...ask them what would be the best thing to do..
Mostly, they'll say they'll resend it.. then u can ask about the fedex thing if u want..
fedex takes 3 working days to ship
I ship my stuff through DHL. it is a bit cheaper. but i don't know if that works fine with ecfmg and/or if they have an account system.

2 working days milee for fedex...they said onli one type of service to india... 48 hrs service.
and DHL has 50 % off ( 1000 instead of 2100 Rs ) to university addresses.. so u may use ECFMG as univ address.. some people have done that also..

also, if you are sending your diploma for verification , it may be needed to be stamped in what we call as verification/attestation fashion.. confirm that with ecfmg too.
apparently when my university sent my diploma twice(without attesting itt.. since that requires a fee..) it wasn't accepted
then i went and payed the fee to university , and then they attested it, it was accepted..
so just confirm..

thanks for your suggestions milee99 and kalyann... as milee mentioned I talked to ECFMG and they said exactly the same. Today I shall make an account with Fedex and ask them to resend the verification letter... thank you .. will update as soon as I get my letter. My university did not even keep a copy before mailing it long back in Feb this year.. this is really bad...

It is strange because they usually do not hold results(score) for the reason of verification. They sent score for many exam takers before recieving credential verifications.

this is not credential verification
its the student status verification .. as in when u r not a graduate, the school has to verify that you r a student. that's why i applied only after i got my diploma

Thanks milee, I will be back with my scores may be next week, today the whole day was gone with paper works searching for records in university, we also have our final exams soon, so busy.
btw my university showed me the registry record that they have send two months b4, it means that the mail got lost, so now will make a fedex account and fax ECFMG. Hope that by tomorrow I shall send the fax and lets see what future holds.. thanks for the support !!
