CongenitalAdrenalHyperplasia- u have menses irregular, hirsutism, anovulation
adrenal tumor:virilization
why there is diff? what is mechanism of action?

  #2

CAH (late onset): hirsuitism, testost - normal, DHEAS incr (adrenals), CT - normal
if early onset - ambiguous genitalia

Adenal tumor: virilisation, testost - normal, DHEAS - incr, CT - adrenal mass

Don't know actually why is that difference, just remember that mcc of hirsuitism is PCOS,
mcc for virilisation - tumor

  #3

virilisation, incr testost, normal DHEAS, CT - enlarged one ovary = ovarian tumor

hirsuitism, incr testost, normal DHEAS, bilat enlarged ovaries = PCOS
