Hi
I have a doubt.Can somebody help me ?
1]Is externship in Internal medicine in a private hospital considered as USCE?
2]Is observership in a University Hospital in surgery better than the above?
I am looking for IM residency next year.My back up plan is FP/Prelim surgery.I have visa issues.I have ongoing reseach experience from one of the best hospitals in US in INTERNAL MEDICINE.But I also have 2 yr gap in CV.Hopefully I would have 2 publications by the end of this year[NOT first author].I am a 2006 grad. with mediocre scores 81,95,cs pass first attempt.
Can somebody guide me?
Is my dream to pursue IM an impossible thing?I know people with 99,99 havent matched ,at the same time few people with low score has matched.
I heard its the whole package which counts.But which are the most important aspects in that whole package APART FROM SCORES?Thanking you in advance and wish you all Good luck
