hey guys------- in acute hepatitis ,findings are HepB S Ag+,HepBCAg+,Hep.bVDNA+, with IgM against Hep.bC. in window period only the IgM against HbC is +. Can we ,as doctors, order just IgM serotyping to know whether patient has acute Hep.b.???and leaving rest of the crap-----

no cause hepatitis b acute infection is in the first 6 months more than that is chronic in the first month of acute infection no IGM only surface antigen is present so in the first month u have to rely on surface antigen
