between diagnostic lavage and diagnostic paracentesis?

  #2

Diag lavage is done in trauma cases when we want to ascertain if there has been any bleeding into the abdomen...Diag paracentesis is done in conditions with ascites, in order to get a sample of the fluid accumulated to determine pathology.
