hey docs, id also like to be a part of the august-september slot. i am still on my first read, which isnt very good i know. anyways, i am doing micro these days. and yes myeloma...biochem is the toughest of all. i cant even touch that book now. i dont know wht id do abt it. i did 3-4 chaps and they took me so many days, that i have a fear of this subject  .well all the best to everyone here!

hey myeloma sorry man.. as nobody posted for 2 days i thought the post was dead.. ll b finishing immunology tonite.. ll start anat tmrw i guess.. i m havin 2004 notes n my frnd has 2007 one.. do i hav to take 2007 photocopy??? r there any gross diff bet kaplan 2004 n 2007???

yet to touch biochem.. i like it i think so ll b able to do it.. but afraid of genetics n mol.bio... very very bad in tat.. wat r u doin nxt guys n gals??? myeloma???

Enjoy long wk ends this 1st one folks , study early then heads out to lake or cottage with papi, fl card with ur one favorite kap book with or without movie 
What a nice 1st long wk end 
Keep warm , weather still cool , cold, wet if doing outdoor fun 
Progress ....... waht can i say .. like biochem one ........... can never say done , since nee dto re.. start , read again & again to ahve all those .... D............... pathways, enzymes stay float in order in our poor brain
Have fun myeloma .......... both a slong wk end & the biochem.......... hope u will not fall asleep with our famous Dr. R . the best old teacher .
Tell me about it , if just read without sound , noise , how much time u , I can b staying on one few lines , or get sleepy , so well , now adays .......... TV is my study partner too too , seriously , since u tube .. nee dto click to play all time so ......... too time consuming
How is everyone ........... heading to cottage or camp already

Not much , just selective pages, topics except ... I like to read fr genetics related chpts section & in betwen re genetic 2 chpt to b fr 2007 , also pharm fr 2007 since new drugs etc .. not want to write on 2004 .. might get messy , that's all are maj , but few minor extra in new & old too , so.....
but if u read with her .. will b good or just browse both edition done by some fm member to mark the page need to add in fr 2007 .. like in biochem .. clinical case box in 2007 , etc all subj too , just check quick , NO idea re 2008 , since not see them yet .

Hi ... smarty ........... we all in our read still ........... I also have my read stop & go a su know , so keep it up buddy , but i am more persistant this few months , since was getting lots of cold this afll, winter
BIOCHEM ............. pl ...... do as u raed ur novel favorite one .......... u will like it , do it without fear so u will get , understand it fast without tension .
But it gives u in bioch , more u raed , more repeating.. u find more meaning, like new info , more u know there after .. GL

micro read frm kaplan.. also there is another book called MMRS (micro made ridiculously simple) its good n if u like that style then read frm it.. also use FA.. bottomline KAPLAN/MMRS + FA..
also go for micro first n then immuno as it ll take a long time if u start immuno first.. also if u hav time make some flash cards for each bacteria/fungus etc...
hav a gr8 time with micro

hi all looks like everyone is studying good...meningioma u ased about difference in 2004 2007 edition of kaplan...sorry man have no idea about it..i have the 2007 set ..u shud compare ur set with ur frnd's i guess,or take Shweee's advice. u asked what i'll b doing next so it all depends what my state of mind will b after completeing biochem..if brain cells will be overloaded i will go for behavoral science or physio.if not then will continue genetics .u done with histo??
shweee thanks fr ur wishes ...yes i had a nice weekend..wasted alot of time but i guess it was necessary.
smarty welcome to the group...hope ur done with micro.i have done only bacerio part.i dont know wats wrong with me i keep jumping frm one subject to another..like i did neuro anatomy and then got bored and switched to biochem without finishing with embryo histo and gross anatomy im a jumper i guess
anyways my progress is that i've read biochem till TCA cycle today will finish gluconeogenesis etc..and lipid synthesis.along with dvds.this biochem might eat up 2 3 more days of my schedule..agggghhhhhhhh!!

hey myeloma thanks alot for the welcome in the group. I am really glad to be a part, though I myself am A big JUMPER. I aint done with micro yet. alot more to go. I had a set back in my schedule due to fever. Now i feel better and am back. Have to do a few more bacteria, and viruses. Two more chaps from immuno too. and then i have gross anatomy too, biochem , neuroanatomy , then some part of pharma , and yes patho and physio too. GOD HELP MEEEEEE!!!!!!! this is still my first read. wht am i gonna do with myself!.   . ANYWAYS I HAVE TO KEEP TRYING!. ALL the best to you myeloma and everyone else too!

finished histo embryo thorax n now doin abdomen.. hope to finish anat by this weekend.. my system crashed so yday fully spent time on recovering that.. im really wasting a lot of time ppl.. really pissed off wen i think of that..

hey meningioma, u are not alone in wasting time and then being mad about it. i am worse than u, believe me. so keep going!. and i do see u have achieved quite alot in a day. id try to do anatomy the same way. happy studying!

great going!.meningioma. i am still stuck to micro. started with pharma today. but feeling a bit depressed with the exam already. anyways abt the exam date, i havent been able to register myself till now. Will be doing it soon insha allah.But the plan is for the 1st-2nd week of Sep'08.

thanks alot for the motivation meningioma. I do feel better now. I am not yet done with micro. still a few of the topics are left. Instead i started with histo , from HY this time. i like it here more than i did it from Kaplan Anyways i wont be able to finish my first reading this mnth i guess. but would have to keep going. All the best to you for head and neck. KEEP GOING MENINGIOMA I know anatomy makes us slow at times, may be this is why i havent touched the Gross part yethaahaha,,..anyways, YOU WILL DO IT!. INfact seeing u do anatomy i myself am thinking of starting with it from today. lets see if i do get something done today. id post my progress later today. see ya!
