hey guys
i am in too..lets beat this exam in aug-sept...lets be with each other...i am doing physio these days and plan to do 30-50 qs uw and at night listen to goljan
i have biochem,micro,pharmac,anat and BS to do..oops thats a whole lot....its creating anxiety but nxiety never helps anyone....any suggestion...what are u all upto?how are things going at your end..all the best

hi im also givin my step 1 in sept.. i ve done Systemic path, physio, systemic pharm and neuroanat. now doin micro.. i know im goin slow.. hav to speed up things.. hope v all get 99.. v hav to keep each other motivated..
@Granuloma - v both r sailin in the same boat with ur position slightly better than mine

Good to hear from all of you, let's gear up for Sep. !
About me, done with my 1st read, but still not confident with many of subjects, like BS, or Pharma & and who knows what else. Pushing myself to do some Kaplan questions along.
Now doing Micro, today antibiotics. Hope will be done by next week.
Match2010, I noticed you have a journal in the forum, and the avatar , so appropriate, me too surrounded with books.

Hi everyone
hope all of you are doing good...yeah its a great idea to keep an eye on everyone..my exam is also in sep ..havent yet completed first read..do u guys think i will be able to take it in sept
i think its a better idea to post the daily log here than in a diary as the diary gets boring at times....so for today i have to do phhysio ,and CVS physio ..i am planning to do 5 reads InshAllah ....then at night will do few qs .
nice move sen,dont think you are slow meningioma just keep on doing
granuloma ..dont panic ..this exam is not bout panicking..

I am onto my second read! first read showed pharm and bioch/molbio as my weak zones.
I started pharma around 16days back still not finished, cramming is tuff

Pharma .... doing antibiotics right now, feel like pounding my head against a book ! Where do you read pharma from , Dowjunk ?
Docninetynine, I like the idea of common treat better too. I think it is possible to do it in Sep, don't know your case,if you can devote the whole day to it, without any major responsibilities, I don't see reason why not.

Dowjunk , make a flashcards, carry them everywhere. Never liked to write them, but now I swear on them, they do wonders ! Especially for pharma, as you said it is just cramming.

many of u hav finished ur first read that really scares me.. i really hav to pick up my socks.... startin virology today.. as docninetynine said v could keep posted abt our progress.. tat way v can stay motivated n as well us try to maintain our schedule n speed.. post daily wat u plan to read n whether u ve finished ur yday read..

Maybe I said I'm done with 1st read, but should also mention that I got other responsibilities, which slow me down pretty much, like now I will be away till Wedsday, no able to touch the books. There is no meaning to compare ourself and get all tense, every one has a different study method.... lets keep to advice each other, motivate, and make sure we don't drag behind.

hey all
i tried doing 30 qs yest but somehow couldnt do 50 as i started feeling anxious..strange right and i read only 2 pages kaplan cvs pharmac..what a shameful story.....i really have to gear up as said by match2010...sen dont worry about the days lost ..think about the days in...you will feel better
me too have many responsibilities besides studying but will not give up and if i couldnt study much one day i will study hard the other day so that the overall performance stays the same..i think this is more important..consistent but slow
what do u think
meningioma,sen,match,dowjunk,girldoc and myeloma all the very best...we all shud stay together to beat this exam ....so stay calm and stay focus is what i have learned from yest anxiety'

Guys no worries ....im also doing first read  i think v can do it till september..may GOD be with us.the key is no day should pass without touching the books...and not to give more than 2 weeks to any subject..meaning try to complete each subject within 2 weeks..only then can v complete 3 reads before september. i'm still stuck in neuro ..but will finish itthis week end.
and yes what a coincidence all "omas" are gathered here meningioma ganuloma and myeloma..lol

I agree with myeloma.. v hv to pick up n get ahead.. really sad went for movie yday n then partied till late nite.. i kno i should not repeat this... hav to focus sit n study.. pls advise me to stick to it.. does anybody else waste time relaxin??? now only doin virology. will definitely finish today or tmrw at the max

hey all
i guess everyines busy right now...wasted alot of time over the weekened...had to finish physio but couldnot do so .....so really wanna finish it asap ..not doing qs at the moment as they eat up my time and motivation too to study from books...i gueass studying for few days and then doing qs for few full days would be a nice idea...what do u guys say..and yes its high time that we all finish our first read ....congratulations to those who already did finish the first read....if we dint finish the first read asap we might start forgetting things before exam.....so my plan is 5 reads InshAllah before exam and for that i really need to speed up if i have to take it in sept
i need speed!!!

GL folks , one of the oma is from oil rich north pole .. is that m.. oma , oh well which one that frd of devoted , now I am confused, no wonder I sh b neurOma

hey guys finally started biochem ..done amino acids, hormones and vitamins from lecture notes along with dvds..phew..its not sooooo bad uptil now..lets c how the next chapters are. its hard to sit for those lectures but without em it would take me ages to finish a chapter ..i can linger on to a single page for half an hr..mayb more at times it would need a lot of revision to keep these enzymes fresh in my neuronal circuit!
no updates guys?what have u been studying...pls post ur progress.
and Shwee..ur most welcme in ths thread ...even without an "oma" in ur name.
