Hi Guys this is my first post, but I have been following almost all the topics posted on this site. There have been times when I have derived immense motivation from the various comments made by the visitors to this site. I sincerely thought if only I could give something back. I just gave my step 3, this was my first attempt at step 3, and I'm in my 3rd year of internal medicine. Luckily I got 93, 226.
I wanted to share my experiences about this exam. Let me start by saying that this exam is not too hard to pass. I am not trying to undermine anybody's efforts with this statement, but what I am really trying to say is that this exam is about strategic thinking. This exam is very different from step 2, step1. These 2 exams are primarily theory exams and the more books you read the better you get. Step 3 on the other hand is a more practical exam, where things are more management based, and sometimes more about common sense. In step 3 one needs to be an expert in time management (you should have at least 5-8 minutes left after each block). Its not about reading 6 different books but about reading one source and practising it a million times(at least 3-4 times, make notes if required). It is about practising the CCS cases from the USMLE CD 1-2 times every day(once you get the hang of it, its very fast, a total of 20-30 times in a month). Do your UW 3-4 times, make notes regarding he material given as explanation, and read the material whenever you get the chance. Practice the USMLE CD for CCS. Do the UW cases. Do the Crush step 3 for ObGyn, surg, Peds. Do Ethics, and Stats from UW explanations and Crush. I guarantee you that if you do as I say you will definitely pass the exam. I'll repeat myself for all those people who thought I was bluffing the first time, "This Exam is not too hard to pass".

hi first of all CONGRATULATIONS!!!!did you just read CRUSH FOR STEP 3?For many weeks?how about UW what mode did you do&and how many weeks?did you finish all the questions?

Congratulations! You're done with all steps!  
In how much time did you got your result? 4 weeks ? and..that's on Wendsday...still?
