Hey everyone......got my results today and passed with an 86
My opinion is that Usmle World is the best tool for the actual exam. I read the kaplan notes once for physio, biochem, micro/immuno, neuroscience. Didn't get to read the others.....I used FA for the rest.
I took nbme 1, 2, and 5. My score was very close to my nbme 5 score.
I studied for about 3 months.....I did everything on my own...no course or study groups/partners......some days were more lucrative than others in terms of studying. I completed UW in about 8 weeks doing 50 qs per day.
Well,....I'm relieved that Step 1 is finally behind me. It was quite an experience going through the prep, taking it,..and finally waiting for the results....

congrats!! btw when did you give your exam! I am still waiting for my result!! I gave my exam on april 8th!!

congrats !!! so do u recommend doing FA thoroughly ??? did it help a lot in the exam ??

Thank you all for your kind words......
First of all....always believe in your abilities.....don't doubt yourself.......after the exam you will probably feel that you did poorly....I was certain that i failed.....but i guess we tend to remember and dwell on the questions that we were unsure of....and in actuality we did better than we thought we did......
Here's my thoughts on some your questions:
1) Yes,.....do FA thoroughly..... FA is often under-estimated but if you really.....and i mean really study it...you'll find that it has alot to offer
2) I got 460 on nbme 5 and 490 on the usmle world assessment test
I just want to say that you should all have confidence in yourself.....don't worry about the hype...and always maintain the fundamental belief that you can conquer this exam......you can do this...believe me....your really can ....and in a matter of fact .....you can do well.....very well
