My step 3 result will be available by 2nd week may and my program coordinator said that they can wait for that long for sponsoring me H1 B visa. I have a question... should I start my J1 processing now and later after getting step 3 result stop that and start H1 B processing. A friend of mine did that but I'm not sure what is done and how to go about it. As in case I do not pass step 3 I will have to go on J1.

Can anyone plz exaplain what I should do.

J-1 is done in a week so you're in no hurry. If your program can wait, than sit tight!
Getting a J-1 waiver (after clinical training) is a major hassle and very tough.
