Although i dont know the answer exaclty, but PSA is an antigen and a protease, its written in the Robbins. PSA levels are high in prostate CA,but other conditions where PSA level can be in the gray zone , i mean raised to a lesser extent, are prostatitis,prostate hyperplasia, instrumentation, etc. one thing i would like to ask is the difference btw PSA and PAP? is this PAP also organ specific like PSA or not?
