the most common cause of osteomyelitis in patients with sickle cell disease. I thought it is salmonella, but I have just read that it is S aureus. Can anyone confirm?

Yes, I can confirm. Salmonella paratyphi is the MCC of osteomyelitis in sickle cell. Staphylococcus aureus is the MCC overall (but not in sickle cell)
