and there I found a list of books recommanded by them.
can u tell me please if those books r enough for my preparation?

As the others told you, You should get First Aid. Among other informations you'll have a list of the top rated books for each field. Where are you from? What year?

hi,Bravo man, Thanks for your answer. i'm from iasi and i'm in5 year. Inow about those books you told me, but there are too many choises and i can't decide.on the official web site there is a list of books, ibelive that those books are very new, because nobody is speaking about them. you should look and after that tell me your opinion. i've heard people talking about nms, goljan brs, and very few of these books are on that list.now, tell me where are you from?

You should chose the books people are taking about. Stay on the beatten track. You don't want to experiment something new and risky, do you?

Can you tell me what books was you preparing for Internal Medicine? I've found NMS too long and Kaplan not enough. Thanks! :?

NMS sunt acceptabile.De ce crezi ca sunt prea lungi?
Eu am inceput cu NMS collection si apoi am citit din BRS & Kaplan.
Nu stiu cine ti-a zis astea, dar eu am reusit sa scot cu cartile astea (plus altele) un scor destul de bun pentru un IMG (percentila 95). Of course, trebuie sa stii cateva din secretele examenului, ce se testeaza mai frecvent (nu toate bolile sunt testtate - cine le poate sti pe toate :cry: ,dar sunt cateva care sunt mai testate - vreo 400 in total. Astea trebuie sa le stii foarte bine :idea: .
Apoi, trebuie sa stii ca ei nu te pun sa reciti cum te pun astia din Romania :x . Toate testele au o smecherie - o complicatie care trebuie sa o recunosti si apoi sa ceri definitive diagnosis, sau sa faci rapid un diagnostic diferential. Unele teste te intreaba pur si simplu despre Public Health, Health Management, Preventive Medicine :shock: ...
De eg: Woman 65 yo, in good helath otherwise, comes to doctor 'cause she sustained a mild leg injury w/o fracture or deep tissue infection. X-ray of the leg shows mild edema of soft tissue beneath the injury. No other bone changes. Three month ago she had a bone scan that showed no remarkable modifications. She asks you to take care of her wounds. You give her (bla, bla) and then she wants to go home. The best advice now you can give her is:
1. To prepare for surgery
2. Give her 3 mos of antibiotics to prevent serious infection to develop
3. Tel her not to use too much the injured leg for the next 1 mo
4. Tell her to be extra careful next time.
5. Give calcium and vit.D
6. Do a Pap smear.
Care este raspunsul corect si de ce?
Cam asa sunt testele de health management & preventive medicine. Testul de sus este de la examenul care l-am dat eu :!: .
sunt o groaza de chestii care trebuie sa le stii despre preventive medicine . Si nici o carte nu iti spune asta :cry: .
Plus o groaza de chestiuni de Behavioral si Psychiatry. Si multa Gynecologie, Obstetrics & Pediatrics & Internal Medicine & Pharmacology & Infectious Diseases  .
Daca vrei dai stepurile, trebuie sa inveti serios, ca ai toata medicina practic.

Uite inca unul mai frumos:
17 yo male comes to you with severe pain in his left lower limb. A couple of hours ago he was involved in a serious car accident - the car bumped into him and crushed his leg. On physical examination you find:
BP - 150 / 95
RR - 25
HR- 140
chest: several bruises like lesions on his anterior chest, bilateral basal lung rales, systolic murmur, parasternal heave
severed leg: green discharge from wound, severe leg edema, severe tenderness.
Neuro: aggitation, combative behavior
The pacient is married and is now attending the local military school.
You decide that he needs amputation and tries to contact his family but you can't find either parent.
Q1: What next measure is most appropriate for this patient?
Q2: The patient aggrees to have his leg cut after you have explained him that this is the best intervention (the neurovascular pedicle was entirely compromised and there is massive infection and necrosis in and near the wound). Will you refer him for amputation?
