Argo my advice is to live one day at the time.... for now commit to your program and if afterwards you still want to go for OB, just do it, apply and God will reward you

Thanks Anamgarcia. My problem is I am really not sure which speciality I want to apply.I like IM,fp,obgyn and some aspects of psychiatry.I love kids but dont like dealing with sick kids everyday.I love FP because it has broader aspect .But majority of my family members are in my home country,I may go back after my residency/fellowship .FP is not at all considered as a speciality in my home country and I am worried I would have to work like an intern through out my life.

Argo... don't torture yourself with thoughts that are not really helpful. for now you are here, so apply to what you really want. It seems to me that you will fit greatly in FP. Then if you decide you want to go back home, you can do the OB fellow and come home as an OB... trust me it will be fine... even in 3 world countries (I am from one) the oB/GYNs end up deciding one or the ptehr, so you will be in a good position with an OB fellow.
