Are we supposed to know the details of calculations in fluid & electrolyte imbalance following dehyration in children?? There are some calculations mentioned in kaplan Pediatrics, i have an idea of how thats done, but in the exam do we have that much time?? For those done with the exam, has this topic been tested??? PLEASE HELP!!

I didn't get any questions on calculation of fluid and electrolyte deficit in my exam. After trying very hard to understand and apply those calculations, I started to realize those kind of questions are quite impossible to be finished on time. I decided to give up and not to give them my precious exam time even if they show up in exam. Fortunately, I got none in real exam.

not on my exam either. I was kind of worrying about it before my exam but I did not get time to review that part.
