:?: I'm planning to take my exam in June, but I'm worried because I hear that alot of american medical students take their exam around that time also. Will it have any effect on my score as an IMG, ofcouse I'm thiinking that I probably will not be as prepared as an american student would be.

can someone please give me some insight on how it works, thanks!

I was wondering the same. My exam is May 28th. Will I get a lower score if I take it then because of american students. Would it be better to take it earlier or later? My understanding is that you are compared to thoses who take it in the same block as you did....since my block is May  July...am I at trouble?

You are not, I believe, graded according to the students who test in the block with you...I think it is based on previous administrations of the test/questions. If I took the test in April and you took it in late June, techinically, we would still be in the same 'block', but I would have my results before you even took the test...I think we are graded based on previous tests.

Oh....Ok that makes since. I was wondering how they compared candidates. Someone told me that we were compare with our "block mates" and if you are US with your classmates. That would suck if your mates were very prepared. :P Thanks Idiopathic!
