just finished my 50qs. have to review breast cancer treatment .....fracture management and also hernias and of course more.
any tips how to remember brst ca treatment ..always forget that....
reviewed thyroid diseases, ( it took me a lot to review that...don't know ...WHY ,)esophageal diseases, little bit of liver
1 more hr to go will take a break for 15 min...

i have 2nd hand notes.....i mean someone else has written some points while listening to videos....do u think it is woth watching??

but from now i am going to read my notes for 2 hours and sleep
to collect energy for tomorrow.

a que for everyone....
A 13 yr old boy with a previous history of seizures is brought to the physician's office by his parents for staring spells that occur in the morning. His parents report that his epilepsy has been well controlled and it has been several yrs since his last seizure. HOwever, they say that he has trouble with spastic movements of his arms and legs almost every morning. An EEG taken during one of these events would be likely to show whcih of the following??
A. A 3Hz spike and wave pattern
B. "Beta buzz" evolving into diffuse polyspikes
C. generalixed seizure involving one hemispheres
D. seizure activity involving both hemispheres

this pt suffers from myoclonic seizures as a result of juvenile myoclonic epilepsy(JME). Myoclonic seizures involve both cerebral hemispheres but rarely cause loss of consciousness or post-ictal confusion.JME typically occurs in adolescents with a history of generalized seizures and responds well to anticonvulsant medications.
B)tonic seizures consist of sudden-onset tonic extension or flexion of the head,truck and/or exptremities for several seconds. they typically occur in relation to drowsiness and are often associated with other neurologic abnormalities. EEG shows nigh frequency electrographic discharge in the beta frequency(BETA BUZZ) with relatively low amplitude compared to the background rhythm. the pattern can evolve into slow spike and wave complexes or diffuse polyspikes.
