hi everyone
i am reserving this place for my journal
i have step 2 ck in july(just gave step 1 few hrs ago)
will begin in 2-3 days ..
suggestions of books please
along with kaplan+uworld

Awesome, milee, that you're done. I wish you all the luck for an excellent score!
In CK, most everybody uses mainly KLN and UW. These are a must. The optional sources include the books by Adam Brochert [Crush Step 2 is one, Secrets is the other], Boards and Wards [I don't know who the author is, but many like this one] and FA [though this does not enjoy as wide a popularity as the one for Step 1]
Good luck in this trip, the ride's a lot better than Step 1, less bumpy and all....!

i am just gathering my wits a bit
went out today
will go tomorrow as well
planned to start of with secrets.. butif that is optional and not as equivalent of first aid for step 1, i will begin with kaplan
beginning with uworld right away from day 1
had a hellish time last few days while trying to complete whole of uworld .. began it real late for step 1
so the plan upto may 20 : kaplan books and 50 uw questions/day
and all 70 cs cases once
like 3-4 cases per day
also, i am going to take a break every saturday/sunday .. i don't wanna burn myself out
its imp to save energy for that last mile 10 days pre-exam
so target: kaplan and uworld
how predictable are nbmes for step 1 , how many are there , and how should we time them??

There are 3 NMBEs for CK, and I'm told Form 2 is most representative of the real thing. Let me know if you want them. Good luck.

today is day 1 of my preparation
i read the tips from kaplan qbook yesterday
today i plan to do 20 pages of obgy
atleast
if more then better
during step 1 i set big targets and then got frustrated whne i did not achieve them
so i will begin with modest targets now
have some paperwork also for some days

i would highly recommend secrets. I could not finish or revise it and i regret that. but in the last days i think its a must. you will enjoy reading it.

actually i l b starting full fledged from 1st may
i hav also started with obsgyn .....hav studied just 2-3 pages...had migraine left in btw
wud start from today
wud study for only 1 or 2 hrs....hav some work
wud start seriously rom 1st

today i did 25 q's from uworld untimed mode:took about 35 minutes to do it
got 68%
not that score on 25 q's are anything to feel anything about
but they told me that i have to begin with surgery and obgy
so i plan to do obgy,surgery,pediatrics,psy in that order
and little of internal med everyday
I am also doing little of cs alongside

reading kaplan obgy intrapartum events and post-partum events

start with medicine... maybe you can finish it in a week.... if you do nothnig but study....
next do OBG...... maybe 5 days
next surgery..... 4 days
pediatrics....3 days
psychiatry in the end... maybe two days..... maybe even lesser
