Are glycosaminoglycans resonsible for periorbital puffiness in hypothyroidism? I know it plays a role in Graves, but not sure about hypothyroid.

Exactly,what else can it be. its the accumulation of GAGs in the skin, sub cutaneous tissue, etc where it is responible for fluid accumulation and odema!!

Exactly when thryoid gets screwed up, GAG accumulate .. Both in hyper and hypo But u gotta know the pathognomonic exclusive features of graves and other diseases.
