Hi, I just schedule cs on October 6, 2008. Is it too late for 2009 match?

It is a bit late for 2009 match. You can keep checking CS schedule timetable. If somebody drops, you can forward your test date earlier.

why late ??? I am sceduled for 28 of October , results will be available bu the end of December , I dont see what is the problem for 2oo9 match

mustdowell: Dont worry about it.. Most programs anyway dont care about the cs result.. You just need the result in time enough to be certified by mid feb '09.. So, you're good.. just make sure you pass it , cos you might not be able to get the result in time if you retake it after Dec..

u r not late technically. but it is likely that a few places will be calling only those with ECFMG certificate. and these few wont call u. Good part is that most of the better programs wont care for CS and call u for an interview if the rest of your CV meets their requirements.
I myself did CS in the last week of October last year and matched successfully but I did have fewer interview calls than an otherwise similar candidate with ECFMG certificate.
