do you know where it is located? it is asked on one of the nbme exam, i just assumed that it is located in lysosome, which was wrong. what else should i know? any other similar enzymes?

can it l be on the epithelial surface of small intestine where it breaks down lactose?

Agree. Lacatase breaks down lactose to glucose and galactose. It's located in the small intestine epithelium.
