Hi guys:
I'm kind of new on this site. I want to take the Step 2. What are the books I should buy to get a good score?
How long a good preparation will take me? I don't have much time 'cause I have to work a full-time job.
I've read that Lectures Notes are a good material but on Internet shopping as Amazon are not availablerolling eyes I'm living in Miami, where I could find these books?
Besides my English is not very good, my first language is Spanish.
I'm running for anesthesiology, what are my real chances to get it?
I've a lot a questions, I've being in this country for a couple of months.
Can I take Step 2 CK and skills before Step 1?
I need some good advice for youwink

Hi DIDI2usmle:smiling face

may be little bit late but, welcome here grinsmiling face

you have soooo many questions but I'll try to answer what I can smiling face

at the begining you can start with any step you like 1,2 cs....whatever you like...

lot of people here recommend to start with step-1 as step-2 ck has questions from step-1.....,but I think that if you prefere to start with step-2 2st go ahaed[ as I did], cause you can cover this point with studying pathology of diseases and practicing lot of UW questions...so it's not life or death situation and it can be overcome grin

now for the studying materials , you need kaplan notes and DVDs and you may use FA if you liked it or you may not [ it's not very important in step-2 as it's for step-1],there are many other final review books as secrets and crush the board, and finally and most important is USMLEWORLD [ UW] which is the most important source of questions during your preparation and you can use it either as learing tool during studying or as revision tool at the end [ but it is a must any way ]......,

and finally as you're working full time so give your self enough time to study well and get enough preparation for the test ...

sorry for the ling post grin and hope it will be helpfull nod

all the best of luck smiling facesmiling face
