Hi everyone, I just got more bad news today...I failed my step 2 ck. My situation is worse then anyone I know in this forum...let me tell u how: Step1 passed on 3rd try, Step 2 just failed today on 2nd try. CSA pending. Running out of support and cash. Very very depressed...dont know how to pick up the pieces. Feeling very alone in this fight. ready to quit it all together. Just wanted to share with people who know what this USMLE is all about and get some insight...i also wrote this for ppl who failed so they know that they are not alone and that there are ppl out there who are in worst position...and lastly to urge everyone to pray for me and my family so we can get through this tough time. Pl respond with ur insight and opinion...what should i do now??? thanks

hey ,, keep faith in God and yourself, dont loose hope......u'r a doctor, nothing less than any one out here...failure comes in everyone's life at some point but that s not to get disappointed for but ofcourse to give a strong fight against it..............i can understand the financial factor but if u can still make it then go for it....u would definately do it n dont worry about match, u ll get it,,, i have seen examples of people who got matched even with multiple attmepts....so, take some days off n come out with new , fresh n strong energy to fight!!!!!!!! all d best!!!!!!!!

the title of your post, really caught my eye...sometimes i think all of us have gone through that "what do i do now? where do i go? what direction do i take?" feeling....n' it's a very uneasy feeling, like any day the ground below you is gona fall...it's as if a physical form of fear looms overhead...uf, i understand that feeling alright... all i wish for you is that you see that gray days dont last forever... as for the best advice for you, i'm unsure what to tell you...I honestly wish to tell you to continue on your way, keep trying, bcoz I believe the best of everyone comes through, but I'm scared that if I do, I may give you false hope...esp. if you are financially distraught...only you & your family would be able to analyze the situation correctly n' make the smartest move...i wish you the best...

hey ! dont loose hope ! i would suggest you reading step 2 secrets and board and wards for this time around if you previously did not. start your prep with these 2 books and try to finish them in 15-20 days. after that start your regular prep dont forget to practice as many questions as you can. if you have exhausted the previous qbanks there are many more. i would recommend doing " Pretest " series along side notes. the questions are easy but will bridge in the gaps that you might have. lastly brother. NEVER loose hope. work hard and pray. there is light at the end of tunnel. its just a matter of time you will get there. have a short and more focused next prep. may Allah guide you through
