firm, discrete nodule, moves with deglutition present on neck of a 35 y/o female ...NO h/o chills, diarrhea, constipation,dysphagia, hoarseness,no chge in mentrual cycles or appetite....no h/o head and neck irradiation....what is the appropriate next step in mangt?
a. measurement of t4, t3 tsh
b. fine needle aspiration biopsy
c. radionuclide scan with iodine 131
d. usg of thyroid
e. measurement of tsh

I thought FNA too, but the explantn said, whenever a pat comes with thyroid nod...first assess the thyroid function and TSH alone is sufficient for clinically euthyroid patients as in this case but if the patient is hypo or hyper then do tsh, t3 and t4.

Hi my friends bcell angel at last i am able to collect my self to study .Yestrday was not a study day for me.I will try my best today
Hir is in the battel field already i know our heart is with her she will do great and will come back to tell us the great news and we will follow her.
So how is your study so far stay on truck dont be distructed like me
Todays plan is to work very very very hard ,working on my weak areas ,i have multiples of them

hello everybody, just casme to the library, went to work in the morning at 8am but they had extra help today so was happy to leave. Will do endo qs today and start something else (dont know what) actually maybe will do surgery qs.
fd, don't worry about yesterday ...today is here and make most of it....you know we all have to do it and we all have ups and downs...i know how hard it is with the kids..and I guess your kid's summer break already started ...it will be same for melast week of my prep kids will be home !! But this is your precious time and you need it right now...and as you said we are doing it for them too...right??
I am sure hir is doing great and hope all the qs turn out to be easy for her and she breezes thru them, insha Allah.
And angel, you are reall ydoing great , keep it up.......i went thru your journal yesterday but forgot to write a few lines...anyways good luck
