hey fd,
can u tell me, which is to be considered as an abnormal bleeding????
bleeding after 6 months or 12 months after last menses in perimenopausal women????

i thought a lott today n came on a decision tht i should start doing IM which is very vast!!
so in the morning i l b doing IM everday n in the evening 2 hrs for other subjects
and i l do my kaplan qbank side by side everyday!!
i hav started today with rheumatology!!
i l see u in 2 hours with rheumatolgy finished!! i mean i l try

Hi hir you are testing my little brain
any ways i will try
in any prmenopausal women with bleeding after having amenorrhea for what ever time we have to R/O any thing related to pregnancy first,so we have to do pregnancy test.The other thing is she might be going to menopause so we can check for FSH,LH which might be increased if so and esterogen level which might be decreased.

1 after 6 months it can be related to pregnancy related abnormal bleeding
2 12 months she might be going to menopause
3 it might be related to endometrial ca,polyp ,un opposed esterogen(DUB)
4.contraception device related the( implants)

hey, i m not testing ur brain....but got confused while reading...so asked to clear d doubt...
u r right with ur explanation....but i wanted to know that when to consider as abnormal bleeding...because in kaplan they said after 12 mths with out menses n in FA, after 6 mths without menses...
so, wot if a pt comes with bleeding after 8 mths without menses.....should be consider as perimenopausal bleeding or abnormal bleeding, when no FSH level is given?????

Hi hir i see your study has become to molecular level
you are dicecting science,it means you are ready to face usmle and defeat it
good giri!!!!!!!!!!!
for me the answer is any bleeding after amenorrhea of a certain time pathologic
there are exceptions.I am shure usmle will give us a hint on the question stem
to lead us to the dx or answer.

i mean i was doing qbank now...n they wee asking ques abt polychondritis n other stuff which is not covered here
so is there any book to supplement or just qbank wud supplement?

u'r right angel...........this is not just fd's journal, it has become a common journal....that's why i even dint feel like starting my own

i just did it from kaplan n FA...n then from UW, even dint use kapQbank.......ofcourse, 2-3 things will remain but no one can master everything... .....so thats ok

In my case i just came back after i picked my kids
I have 3 kids They are 13,10 and 43 year old
guss who the 43 year old is my hasband
so far i did 100 questions i have some more to go i am shure i will finish peds today and i will start surgery tomorrow
all in all my day is good as well as yours
i will see you in the evening keep going

Yes I am back, you guys are doing soooooooooo great. Hurray for you. Yes I didn't want to write again ....that my day was not good and so on and so forth....so did 150 qs in peds and reviewed peds whatever i could ...yesterday just did cvs peds ...today started at around 12pm.
fd, hir , angel you are such good friends ,i did log in once to see you how you guys were doing and when I found out how mad you were at me I thought ok i will comeback only when I am done with these qs.
fd you were right by saying that we plan more than we can achieve and then get disappointed, you r right we do that...but thanks buddy ...i mean all buddies for being here.
hir,think about next thursday ....you willl be enjoying and having fun so few more days to go sweetie....just focus ! Angel you are doing great and keeping up with your plans. Please keep it up. I will take a break for an hour and come back till midnight.

there are 76 ques of rheumatology
divided those in 2 blocks of 38 each...
done with one ....got just 50%
need to study more....will study musculoskeletal +rheumato again tomorrow n then will do the other block and give u input!!
i m finding it very hard!!
but i l try to study more tomorrow..

how is your family ?your son is he ok now?As i told you just take one day at a time

I also didn't finish peds yestrday but i just finished it now
so we have to be happy at least we did what we planned for the day
