HI, I am in the same situation. I need to know what exactly to send for the Final Medical Transcript. I studied from DMC so if anyone is from there I would really appreciate the help. THank you

hi..my name is maheen..im from baqai med university karach pakistan...i'm seriously worried these days...as my applicATION FOR USMLE STEP 1 HAS BEEN REJECTED...THEY DIDNT TELL ME THE REASON...
Actually i allready submitted the online part of the step 1 and the application statement form (183) along with it i sent 2 photocopies of my med diploma and 3 photographs.....i dont thin they asked any other thing along with the application...
I dont even know what"s transcript and credentials etc...i have no idea at all even i tried to get information in ecfmg booklet etc but could'nt get it.....i dont know if i also need to apply for transcript credentials etc........please i wonder how people know that they have to apply for these things....

final Prof marksheet
credit hours-subject list + clerkships + deans letter
Conduct Cerctificate
College Provisional
Degree + Photos ....i mean for which purpose these things have to be submitted for? are these for the step 1 application that i submitted or what....
if theres any other thing i need to get for e.g transcript or credentials (i even don't know what it is)...so plzzzzzz let me know...i'm almost half dead from tension...i need some one's help....GOD BLESS YOU...ALLAH HAFIZ......MAHEEN....

HI,
I think you have sent correct documents for your application.the documents saad was tallking about are for final medical transcript,which you get when you have completed all steps and apply for Ecfmg certificate.You don't need those documents right now.the problem may betaht you sent your documents long after submitting online part or If there is any discrepency in your name in records.any ways you can check your application status on ECFMG WEBSITE in OASIS.If you need to ask any thing you can contact me via E-mail I will be glad to answer If I know.and relax girl It's just first stage and a long way to go.I am from Dow medical college.

Hello, i am from Baqai too.. i am not sure but there might be a number of reasons for the form rejection
1- Difference in your name on the degree and form,
2- you might have written that you are from Baqai Medical college when infact u were from Baqai Medical University or vice versa or
3- your credit card was dishonored ..
you need to check on these.. you can check your status on Oasis if you have your ECFMG Number.
As far as the Transcript is concerned.. you need that for ECFMG certification which is for later.. you can get the transcript from Students Affairs Department- Mr Israr..
For the Step1 & 2 forms you need your Degree and photographs. I would suggest you go for Online thing rather than the whole form.. it is more convenient. I hope this helps.

i also graduated from pakistan and filling out the application and sending in the correct documents is not that hard. all u have to do is fill out the application either online or print it out and send it in. along with that u have to send in the certification form. now if u have already graduated u can get it notarized by anyone but if u are still in school then your principal has to sign and stamp it. as far as the documents u have to send 2 recent photos and 2 copies of your degree...then ecfmg will send a copy of your degree to your school along with a verification form. the officials at the school have to sign the form and along with that send ecfmg your transcripts. if ecfmg doesn't receive your transcripts from the school then they will notify you and request that u send the transcripts to them.
