a 33 yro woman comes to the clinic at 16w gestation w/o complaints. this is her 2nd pregnancy. during 1st pregnancy she delivered an 8.5lb infant. the pat reports hydramnios during that pregnancy. she has no prior med hx and is on no meds. on physical exam, she has a firm uterus. which of the following is the appropriate management of this pat? A. genetic amniocentesis B. glucose testing C. maternal serum AFP D. pelvic ultrasound E. triple screen test i picked the wrong answer. what would you guys say?

Was thinking on D as well to measure the amniotic index.

so, i picked B like jasmin because of the macrosomia. but kaplan says "at 33 years of age this patient should undergo a triple screen to evaluate the possibility of down syndrome" about C they say it would be included in triple screen anyway, ok. about B they say it is due at 24-28w, sure we know that but the macrosomia of 1st pregnancy made me think this is a situation where you'd want the glucose earlier. confused...
