Hi everyone
I am new to this section of the forum since I started with 2ck. As i said I scored only 81, i had alot of unfortunate circumstance around the exam date and I did not prepare well as I wanted. I am not sure if I should continue and do step one or not since I don't want to fight a losing case. I need your advice, i have got some other credentials like UK stuff and MRCP part 1. Some people say it will help but I am not sure. What do you think? i feel that with some focusing and support i can get a good score in step 1, will it compensate?

yes it will.. i think u have to ask urself if u want to continue, no one else can answer that quesetion..

it's not the end of the world, u passed and be happy with it! it cant change by sulking about it, just go study hard and get a good score on step 2!! why ppl ask this question is beyond me, get a grip on urself and focus if u want to practice in usa, if not, then best of luc!! good luck either way!! grin

Thanks for the advice, it is just a bit late. I already did the PLAB in 2005, left to the UK and spent one year between clinical attachments and Locum SHO posts and came back after the March2006 immigration law changes in the UK since I could not find a substantive post. that is why I am starting the USMLE, but you can understand of course how painful it was to start all over again.

Thanks
Good luck to all.
