not necessary but if you can not study on your own (some people cannot sit and start by themselves very fair ) or you dont mind spending some extra bucks it wont hurt you..

You can do it on your own. Of course, it would help a lot if you have a Mentor, Advisor, Coach or what ever you want to call it.
Personally, I do have several seniors whom I rely on when I need help with something.

But what I know for sure, is that you do Not need a Payed coach.

You dont need top join coaching. It will be a waste of time, energy and money. This forum has wonderful seniors and doctors ....the moment you post a message to ask for advise someone will always come forward and help you.. Read that first forum thread by ASKDOC. It tells you how to study. Then get your Kaplan books and start studying them. For Pathology use Goljan. Then do Q BOOK, First AId, USMLE world and NBME. Sit down and make a schedule and follow it. Come here to see the forums and other posts posted and you will learn a wealth of information on how to get 99s which I believe a course wont tell you enough about. So, we are here for you. Just get started and ask along the way. We will help. You dont need a course.
