What are the surgical indications for chronic ulcerative colitis?

there are several indications such as malignancy(more than 10 y history of UC, any suspecious biopsy), toxic megacolon, unresponsiveness to concervative treatment, and profuse hemorrage

Surgical indication which cause cure


-UC > 20 yrs
-Pt with nutritional problems e.g., pt who weighs 90 lbs n have history of 40 hospitalizations
-high dose steriod (imuran) for long time (immunocompromised)
-toxic megacolon
