ok, so i was told in pass prgam that yes, Berger's disease has IgA deposition, Henoch schonlien purpura has IgA deposition, but i was also told Alports has IgA deposition, now i can't read that anywhere, is this true, or should i scrap this idea??? please let me know!! thanx so much!!

i doubt that alport has IgA, i remember reading somewhere that alport does not immunostain or something like that. If IgA were present, i would have been able to be stained.

I think alport's is the one where you have defective synthesis of alpha-5 chain of collagen IV.. which btw forms GBM ... Please correct me if i am wrong people.. Also can anyone tell where do we see defect in alpha-3 subunit of collagen type IV

No IgA association though...thats for sure... And its X linked dominant
