girldoc, I agree with study499.
I am a 2000 grad, doing my first reading.
Watching videos enhances my memory and makes me feel more confident, as I realise I have not missed any point while reading.But definitely is time consuming. I am using 2007 lectures.I liked Biochem and embryo videos until now.Micro is so and so.General anat is not at all good.

I was not updating my progress as I was very slow and was taking too much time then updating was making me more depressed..
But now I have no choice I have to be fast as exams is near I can't linger I have to be fast.
I am doing microbiology....did general bacteriology and gram positive bacteria from kaplan and clinical vigenettes with it. God please help me how to be fast ........But I'll update everyday even if I'll do one bacteria.....as I need some push.......to be fast...

From where you are doing Clinical Vignettes. I am also reading Kaplan Bacteriology.. Looking for guide.
Should we add another source to Kaplan.

Thanks for dropping by...
My method of studying is very time consuming. I dont know it will suit you or not.But I have to do it like this way as i cannot retain otherwise..
I am doing from kaplan videos then I read kapaln notes and then google the topic to see the pic of bacteria from cdc.gov site or other sites to have photographic memory and to remain some thing in my head as I can't cramm this is my problem ...
For clinical viggenets I think One should do first aid cases I don't have this time but what I have is underground clinical vigenetts blackwell series .So after reading one bacteria, I read the case.....
Hope so it helps but I think you should do what suits you this is just my way to retain the thing and also I am not willing to cram it for 15 times ... My aim is to do it first time very good and then few revisions to retain it for long time...

A humble opinion....if you feel good in a subject don't see them!
probably Behav, Bioch, Pharma, are good.......just a point of view

Ok.....I know it depends how U feel in some subjects.......let's say......in my case: I didn't have a good biochemistry course in my medical school, that's why I see all DVD clases
I don´t know in which subjects are you weak.............Neither if you are a student, a recent or old FMG........BUt If you have time See all of them.....
I found here in the forum some docs say the important (to see) are: Behavioral science, biochemestry, and pharmacology maybe....
You can read opinions about it: Go to the "search" bar and put in there ...let's say....."kaplan DVD step 1"

If you are comfortable with vignettes then whts the need of FA cases-- karim is right .Go to market and one will find all books comparable.
Do one of them and for rest, depend on MCQS.

all the best girldoc. about video, i found physio, biochemistry, and behavioral most useful. but sometime, when u dont feel like studying, it helps watching some other. But, i hated the old patho video, the guy read from book, so boring. i felt, there was a better immuno video, the lecturer is boring, but immuno is important to watch also. As karime, said, may be if you are taking time, u may watch them all(except patho) and anatomy, i think except neuroanatomy, nothing to watch, i didnt. but again, its just my opinion. GL.
