I just started a cpl of days back and have my exam on the 28th. All these posts here by people talking about studying for a month or more for it and some people freaking out after finishing off with first aid and still having like a couple months before their examsrolling eyes .. is kinda scaring me here..

Personally, i feel my only prob would be the ICE score and am working on it.

Some comments / opinions/ advice / lines of support would help relieve my anxiety smiling face

Thank you guys!

Hello arlete! I see you are still helping out as much as you can! I honestly think you are such a sweet and giving person, thank you for being a person who is caring and full of love, I am sure you will be the best doctor!

I've been away for a while, and I didn't get to take my ck, lost the money for it, and now my cs is in the beginning of June and I have no clue where to start. I delevered my twins 29 wks permature on Dec 26th, and since then I havent' touched a book.

Any advice would be appreciated, and what is skype?

take care and thanks again!

Get the First Aid, read the first part to have an idea of what the test is about, and read the csprotocol blog on the Internet. Don't be overwhelmed by so much information, you'll be able to pass before beggining June.

As soon as you feel like it, start practicing the cases at the end of FA, specially the history taking part. After you do it, check your errors with the checklist they give. At the beggining, it's normal to do a lot of awkward pauses and forget some important questions, but you'll improve quickly for this test. The ideal is to find somebody on the Internet that's going for the test around the same time. Do the practice in timed mode, so you get used to being efficiently quick.

Skype is like the messenger, you download it for free and choose an id, then you can talk as if it was a telephone, use a camera... If you get it, give me the id. I don't have a lot of time, but I promise to try to be available and I'll be sincere about where you are in the preparation.

Congratulations on the twins, I hope they are blessed with tons of health and bring your family lots of happiness. nod

Can any one tell me how helpful will the step 3 notes be for step 2 cs. especially if I have enough time and will be appearing for step 3 as soon as I pass cs.

  #24

I don't think step 3 will help you for CS. Step 3 is about management, and CS is about interaction with patients. If you have a lot of time, start studying for step 3, then during the 4 weeks before CS, study and practice for it. Studying for CS may help for CK, in my opinion, because you read about possible differentials and workup.
