how to drape for hip exam???for all joint examination wee expose the other joint also...it is not possible for hip...how much we can expose in hip exam???and can we do inspection??

as far as my knowledge there will not be any case in the exam where u have to expose below the groin.so maximum expose till the groin and do the exam. i think it will be ok.any comments

Coming to think of it, i didnt see a single case of hip joint in FA or in UW .. (ofc you need to rule out hip joint pathology in a case of knee pain, but then thats a different thing) But if you do get a case primarily of hip.. well then you have to expose both hips and proceed as you would in a real patient. But you have to take care not to expose the genitals ( just like you would in a real patient) Good luck!
