LP is contra-indicated in any case of raised intracranial tension,so i feel it is not 2 be done in PSEUDOTUMOR CEREBRI.

Just wanted to add/ask..

Acute v/s Chronic headaches

Acute can be an emergency like SA hemorrhage, SD/ED hematoma, meningitis etc,

but acute can be the first presentation of a chronic headache syndromes like Migraine/Cluster/Tension etc.

In a case of Chronic headache presenting with acute symptoms - could be a relapse of a chronic headache syndrome or could be an entirely new case of acute headache - the emergency ones.

I hate when its so uncertaindisapproval

So should we include all the headache DDs in any case?

Yes, include 5 possibilities, in probability order. But most of the times somebody who has migraine is able to tell you if the present headache is pretty much the same as every migraine manifestation, or it's different, worse, etc. So it's important to ask "have you ever had these same symptoms before?"
