If I understand it well observership or clerkship is not any particular kind of official program or course just an opportunity to unobtrusively attend conferences and interact with residents, fellows, and attending physicians for a few weeks. So if that is the case how can IMG show that he had some kind of USCE do hospital issue some kind of document or certificate ???

most hospital dont give any cert unless u are in a paid observership...what u do is get LORs and get them to write the duration in that....i had also asked my supervisor during th observerhsip to give me a 'to whom it concerns" cert for use in my home country and she had obliged
