Then what's the point of living, since 100% of lives will end up in death anyway? raised eyebrow

I'll tell you from my point of view: even if one day I get divorced (which of course I don't believe I will), I am already grateful for the wonderful 11 years I spent with my husband. smiling face

Here is my story:
During my medical school I knew this guy and he was my boyfriend for 6 years, we graduated and got jobs, both were doctors and worked together so we decided it was time to married and we did. After a year we were divorced. sad
Living with another person (different from your relatives) is hard. I think the most important thing is respect to each other no matter what. And of course, LOVEsticking out tongue
Now I'm married againnod and we are trying to validate our medical degrees in USA.

Can you share with us why you divorced? Did it have anything to do with the fact that both of you were doctors?

Praying4a99 I think that there was not one reason for my divorced but many and I can tell that our jobs had anything to do with it. Maybe we were very young for so many responsabilities and after a while we realized that we were different in so many aspects that living together become a nightmare. But I can tell anyway that not everyone can handle the night shifts in the hospitals, my ex-husband handled that but was very jealous about night shiftsmad

If you want to have an idea how a cross-cultural marriage might be like, watch: "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" grin

Personally, I will be done clinicals within a year, and starting residency (hopefully) and be settled in a practice god willing, by 28. i think that, by the time im 2nd year resident, 25ish, I will be looking to get engaged. Because, I will have an idea on my career, where I will be living, how much money I will be making, I will be mentally secure with my life. I also think, that it will be a stressful time, but one worth it.

Very similar to my plan and situation.

I think that, we need to meet alot of people in life, that will teach us the errors in our ways, to give us pain, and heart break, to cheat us, hurt us, so when our soulmate meets us, we appreciate them truly for what they are. How can we appreciate the good in something, if we haven't seen the terrible possibilities in others?!

wow!

all time consuming careers have issues in personal lives but when one meets their soulmates who does not see them in terms of their career, then they should thank God day and night, because there is a lot of fake love out there.:

i gotta question, i think those who've been a long relationship maybe able to help me out better,......... or not...idk

my hubz n' i r both studyin for da mle...n' he'z a bit narrow minded or overprotective but only in certain aspects, he doesnt like me goin out late at night for stupid thingz say to goto the grocery for an item i need or for fast food...(or say, if we got in an argument at night n' i need some air, he wnt let me cruise or stroll around in a gated neighborhood) but if i happen to be out late from get-together w/ friends or oncall...it's okay w/ him

it's like he's acting stupid w/ some things n' not others....isn't this weird? will he ease up over time? i was thinking that he'z like this coz we're both at home, studying w/ tonz of time on our hands...but once we both start working n' start havin kids he'll start relaxing a bit, or actually not have time to make bs like this up....
whatddya think?
