What is not characteristic for Tangier disease?
A. aut-rec
B. alpha lipoprotein deficiency
C. plasma HDL level is low
D. plasma cholesterol and triglyceride levels are low

D is correct
This is familial alpha-lipoprotein deficiency.
TGA, chylomicrones, VLDLs are elevated, cholesterol and HDLs are low.
Clinica: large orange tonsils, hepatomegaly, neurologic defecit.
