That is deffinitely a must. Otherwise people will not take them seriously because they don't know when whatever it says was written. So yes!! date them. 3 options: 1.- Give them a call and tell them that you need them dated because otherwise they will not be halpful and ask them to do one for you and send it by mail to ERAS or to you. 2.- Ask a friend or family or someone to go ask your LOR writters to do this. 3.- Take a trip and go do it yourself. 4.- Forget about those letters and get US doc LOR's... this is actually the best option!! I mean there is no way to go around this, what do you mean with ideas? Good luck on the match... and now that you are getting new letters remember to get them signed with blue ink, try to get them with letterhead, if you can, include your aamc id no. and start them with Dear program director... don't forget!! Anyways if you can, try to get US docs letters because homecountry letters don't carry that much weight and sometimes any.

Not only do they have to be dated, it is pretty much mandatory that they are from the same academic year as when you apply for a position.

Thank you so much for your helpful advice . I think i'll get along with the third option. Now on towards observersip searches, which i still haven't found in Minnesota or anywhere.
